Ant and Laura {engagement photography in Leeds}

Ant and Laura and I share lots of mutual friends so I was really delighted when they asked me to shoot their wedding. They are such a lovely couple and are absolutely hilarious. They laugh constantly and have a proper northern down-to-earth p*ss-taking sense of humour, which made them loads of fun to photograph, as well as spend time with. They’re a self-confessed PDA-disliking couple who were initially pretty horrified about the prospect of being lovey-dovey in front of a camera, but I really thought that the way that they laugh together and the way that they look at each other told how they feel about each other a million times over, and just as much as any romantic clinch. We went to Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds for the shoot, had a little wander around and had a good giggle. Their wedding was lovely and is also coming up soon…

What a lovely, happy, tasteful PDA. Made me feel all warm and glowy. What a nice couple. x
[...] Ant and Laura laugh A LOT. We share lots of mutual friends so I knew that it would be a really fun day and I wasn’t disappointed. From their teasing each other during the couple shots, to Ant’s ridiculous posing (the 4 shots of him posing are the publishable ones), to the funniest speeches I’ve ever heard at a wedding hands down, to Ant’s solo dance performance of Slap My Elbow after the first dance, I have never been made to laugh so much during one wedding. During the speeches I actually had tears rolling down my face and found it really difficult to focus! [...]
